My Route
A costume designer active both in Italy and internationally, he has collaborated with young, emerging directors and some of the great masters of Italian cinema, including Oscar-winning director Lina Wertmüller, Mario Monicelli, and Pupi Avati.
He studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome under the guidance of legendary costume designer Piero Tosi (costume designer for Federico Fellini, L. Visconti, V. De Sica, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and others).
During his subsequent professional training, he worked for over ten years with costume designer Milena Canonero, a four-time Academy Award winner.
With Canonero, he collaborated on films including Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette and Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, both of which won Academy Awards for Best Costume Design.Since 2006, he has taught at various universities and film schools in Italy and abroad, including the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.
